    Dr. Tori Hudson, ND

    Menopause Hormone Therapy: When things aren’t going well; Making Adjustments in Rx

    Dr. Tori Hudson, Naturopathic Physician, graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in 1984 and has served the college in several capacities, including: Medical Director, Associate Academic Dean, and Academic Dean. She is currently a clinical adjunct professor at NUNM), Sonoran University of Health Sciences, Bastyr University and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr Hudson has been in practice for over 40 years, is the medical director of her clinic, “A Woman’s Time” in Portland, Oregon, co-owner and director of product research and education for VITANICA and the program director for the Institute of

    Women’s Health and Integrative Medicine. She is also the founder and co-director of NERC (Naturopathic Education and Research Consortium), a non-profit organization for accredited

    naturopathic residencies.

    Dr. Hudson has been appointed as a faculty member of the Fellowship in Integrative Health and Medicine, Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine and the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.

    Dr. Hudson was awarded the 1990 President’s award from the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians for her research in women’s health, the 1999 prestigious Naturopathic Physician of the Year award, the 2003 NUNM Alumni Pioneer Award., the 2009 Natural Products Association Pioneer Award and in 2012 was inducted into the NUNM Hall of Fame. In 2016, she was the recipient of the annual Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physician’s “Living Legends” award.

    In 2021 she received the 2020 American Botanical Council’s prestigious Fredi Kronenberg Excellence in Research and Education in Botanicals in Women’s Health Award for 2020.

    She is a nationally recognized author (book: Women’s Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine second edition, McGraw Hill 2008) and the Menopause Companion (2023), speaker, educator, researcher, and clinician. Dr. Hudson serves on several editorial boards, advisory panels and as a consultant to the natural products industry. She also writes monthly columns and freelance articles for several publications.

    Dr. Laurie Menk Otto provides comprehensive naturopathic care at Reconstructed Wellness in Southeast Portland. Her practice focus is on concussion and head injury recovery, autonomic nervous system disorders, allergy, asthma, and digestive issues.

    Her approach to treatment is informed by a strong background in research and public health. After graduating from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2007, she completed a three-year clinical research fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, during which time she completed a Master of public health degree from the University of Arizona.

    Dr. Jennifer Means graduated with high honors from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) and from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 1995.

    She began her private practice in 1996. She has served at NCNM as clinic supervisor and taught Pathology for several years. She combines Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine with cutting edge nutritional and environmental therapies as well as the traditional naturopathic modalities of herbalism, homeopathy and hydrotherapy to address a wide range of illnesses.

    She has dedicated much of her practice to debilitating chronic illnesses such as Lyme disease, fibromyalgia, autism, PANS/ PANDAS and dementia. Most of all, Dr. Jennifer is well known for her warm, compassionate, joyful and nurturing spirit.

    She owns and operates Singing River Natural Medicine in Beaverton, Oregon and lives in the area with her family.

    Dr. Hilary Costello is a naturopathic physician dedicated to integrating cross-cultural healing traditions with modern scientific research. A Los Angeles native with a deep love of the ocean and nature, she brings over 20 years of experience in dermatology, skin surgery, primary care, and women’s health to her grounded, holistic practice.

    She earned her Doctorate from NUNM in 2005 and practices in Lake Oswego. She teaches scientific botanical illustration locally and in Hawaii and Jamaica.

    Affirming Aesthetics: A Patient-Centered Approach to Gender Diversity and Aging
    (Dermatology Presentation Session 2)

    Michelle Williams, ND MBA is a licensed naturopathic doctor specializing in affirming aesthetic medicine. Since graduating from NUNM in 2016, Williams has practiced primary care, hormone health, regenerative medicine, and aesthetic medicine in both her solo and group practices. In 2021, Williams shifted focus to affirming aesthetic medicine to address the needs of underserved patients. Driven by a commitment to gender equity in medicine, Williams educates professionals and on the therapeutic and aesthetic impacts of pharmaceuticals for gender-diverse and aging populations and has presented to professionals and students in Portland at the Aesthetics Injector Collaborative and NUNM’s aesthetic medicine elective.

    In addition to her clinical work, Williams earned an MBA in healthcare administration from OHSU in 2024. She has worked within a center for independent living, a local non-profit, to provide education to professionals and community both locally and nationally on improving access to medical care and cancer screening for individuals with disabilities.
